<p>I also recieved this offer and after reading it find to many gaps in info. For one Pineapple does have some very good vitamins and minerals but if consumed before they are ripe can actully be toxic. You might be better off trying a no gluton diet as many of us are gluten intolerant and that is why nothing seems to help on weight loss. also that is one of the huge reasons over the counter diet pills or supplements do not help and actully add weight try to lay of wheat products not low carb. just wheat and soy. They are high gluton if you feel better and lose weight the first week you are probly gluton intolerant.   I personally do not think that there is a miracle diet just find one that you can do. don't cut to many calories, try doing something fun for exercise with small children it is not always easy to get to a gym or even go for a walk.  turn on your radio and dance with your kids picking them up and twirling is a good work out and you use more muscles then you think and your work out time will fly by. Alsodon't let your self get to hungry. Drink lots of water and limit your soda intake. DIET soda is worse than regular soda so limit to one reg. soda a day and you will be better then drinking 2 or more diet.  just saying whats worked for me. Talk to your doctor they really do know how to help.</p>

<p>Ok, I made a huge pot of borsht with is basically cabbage soup.  I had made so much of it that I ate it for lunch and supper for a week.  I did lose ten pounds, but felt SO sick and weak the entire time.  I also gained it back as soon as I had some real food.  Cabbage soup would be okay once or twice a week for lunch, but add some protein like a tuna sandwhich to it for a longer term weight loss.</p>

<p>In general, a high protein low carb diet will have you getting 30% to 50% of your total calories from protein. Our normal diets consist of more carbohydrates than protein. Our bodies get energy by burning the carbohydrates. This is the fuel that our brains and major organs need in order to fully function properly.</p>
<p>When you eat a high protein low carb diet, your body goes into a different metabolic state. This state is called ketosis. When your body goes into ketosis it will start to burn its own fat for fuel. The body will get its energy from the breakdown of fat stores. This will result in you feeling less hunger and you will probably eat a little less. But you need to be aware that there are some dangers associated with this type of dieting.</p>
<p>Kidney problems could be one of the major side effects. The reason for this is that the processing of protein will put a strain on your kidneys and can make you susceptible to kidney problems.</p>
<p>High protein diets can cause osteoporosis or even kidney stones. This is because you will excrete more calcium than normal through the kidneys. If you follow a high protein diet for an extended period of time, this can increase your risk for kidney stones and osteoporosis.</p>
<p>Another thing to take into consideration is the fact that eating all of that protein, which consists of red meats, cheeses and dairy products, can cause your cholesterol level to go up. If you battle high cholesterol already, then you should be very cautious about following a high protein diet.</p>
<p>Before you begin any diet program you should check with your doctor first. A diet program that is high in proteins and low in carbs is something that should not be followed on a long term basis. It can be helpful for short term fast weight loss, but the only way to keep the weight off is a complete lifestyle change. And therein lies the problem. For most everyone who uses this type of diet program, once they stop the weight comes back on fast. Learn how to eat healthy and get plenty of exercise.</p>
<p>So now you have the information to make a decision on your own about the high protein low carb diet. Do not attempt any diet without your doctor's supervision. Just remember to stay healthy.</p>

I am having a hard time finding a decent site- most of them are trying to sell a book .

<p>Probably because the symptoms are pretty common. I honestly looked into this years ago due to allergies. There is little to no real proof of excessive Candida overgrowth, problem one. Problem two the so called treatments are usually expensive and don't produce results. I say results because there are no real tests for this candida problem The patients don't feel better and are usually more frustrated having spent money on treatments (usually some herbal concoction) and the trouble of changing their diet to some weird, bland, often expressive diets. Basically turns you into a vegan. If your family is picky they won't like it a bit.<br />
. If I remember correctly the Mayo clinic had some Information on it. They were the only how do I say it recognized medical professionals that were doing any studies on it at the time. They might have more info now.<br />
