<p>join a gym there will be instructors there who can help you to sort out an exercise regime which suits you. try to go at least 3 times a week.</p>
<p>also you will need to try eating more healthily so cut out fizzy drinks and substitute them for things like fanta zero which only only has about 1 calorie compared to an ordinary fanta which has over 100. (this is the same for coke sprite etc)<br />
eat three meals a day with sensible portion sizes. get a low fat cook book which will teach you how to cook healthy meals which you can enjoy without ruining your waist!<br />
remember that just because you have a lowfat biscuit it doesn't mean you can have two (basically just because you have eaten less calories doesn't mean you should eat bigger portions)</p>
<p>keep it sensible don't do fad diets they might get the weight off for a bit but you'd soon have it back (many people find they get lighter then alot heavier) </p>
<p>i am 5'4" and weigh 109 pounds so it can be done (109pounds is just under 8 stone) if you can drop 28 pounds youve done amazingly!</p>
<p>the healthy wight for a guy your height is between 130 to 170 pounds but take it slow and dont be silly it might cost you dearly later.</p>

What diet plan should I follow to go with this program? I am horrible at planning meals, I'm a vegetarian and seeking meals and food options that are inexpensive.

<p>You will lose more body fat eating protein and fat (don't eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast eat all you want but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter and half an avocado a day (you'll need added potassium). Keep your fat percentage high. Adding in green vegetables &#038; some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.</p>
<p>If you starve yourself, your body will freak out and will want to store every ounce in case it doesn't get nourished again. You need to give it adequate nourishment so it doesn't slow your metabolism down to compensate for lowered calories.</p>
<p>Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) triggers insulin which can store the calories you eat into fat. The more protein you eat the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate you eat the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.</p>
<p>High insulin levels unbalance other hormones. Controlling your insulin level will balance out other hormones &#038; allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so you will gain lean muscle even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase your muscle mass with high HGH levels.</p>

<p>Most likely you are on the typical starvation diet of Low Fat, NO salt, No red meat and are expecting to lose weight.  Your body is preserving the energy anyway it can and is not willing to give up that energy reserves.  The low calorie diet disregards how the body works and only concentrates on numbers that become meaningless.</p>
<p>You need to eat fat to lose fat, it's that simple.  Your body is pretty smart and when you try to out smart it by reducing fat intake, your body doesn't like that.  Our genetics have changed only about 0.1% in the last 12,000 years and the way primitive man maintained his energy was from eating fat, not carbs.  Also, if you eat primarily cooked foods or things like broccoli raw, this will slow your thyroid function down and affect your digestion negatively.  When you don't digest your food well, it ends up being stored around your waste for men, and around the hips and thighs on women.</p>
<p>A very good book for you to read to get a complete understanding of this would be, "Life Without Bread" by Christian Allan, Ph.D.  He explains in painful detail why you need to eat fat to lose fat.  It works.  </p>

<p>Unfortunately diets don't work, because you tend to think of "doing without" and diets keep you focused more on food than you usually would. Also the weight comes back plus some more.</p>
<p>Here is something to do that works, and is a great lifelong habit to get into, as it keeps you healthy, detoxed and at the same time gives your body a rest from digesting food, so the energy is used on keeping your immune system strong.</p>
<p>I am talking about fasting, which is easy if done this way.</p>
<p>One day a week, every week until June, have a healthy breakfast , fruit maybe, then have no food, only sip water during the day, and keep busy. </p>
<p>Exercise by having a brisk 30 minute walk, and don't eat anything  until the following morning,  just  sip water when needed.</p>
<p>That will be a 24hr fast.</p>
<p>Once you have reached your weight target, anytime you are exceeding it, fast again.</p>
<p>I do this, especially if I am feeling the flu coming, and am always in good health and my correct weight.</p>
