Why sunblock products don't have expiration date?
I recently notice that sunblock products don't have the expiration date written. Don't they ever expire?
The weird thing is that major brands like Nivea, L'oreal and Carroten, don't have it written (only the LOT num.) while some other not so fancy brands (oriflame and iserre products) do have the production date as well the expiration date written on the package.
I went to a shop with beauty products (hondos center) and ask about it, but the ladies there as well the manager, were completely ignorant about this.
Is it possible for a product not to expire?
This research has taken place in Greece - Europe.
All cosmetics and drugs have an expiry date. It may not clearly be written depending on the local laws and regulations but all products have one. An eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow have a 3 month expiry date (though most people go well beyond that date). Sunblock has a one year expiry date. Most of the time it doesn't matter if you go beyond the expiry date.
